Admissions & Referrals

How to refer a child or enquire about placement

Referrals can be made by contacting us at info@deepresonance.co.uk or calling +44 772 703 2391. We require initial referral information including the young person's needs assessment, placement plan, and any relevant background information. Our team will review the referral and arrange an assessment meeting.

What is your admissions process?

We ensure each placement is right for the young person and our existing residents. The process typically takes 2-4 weeks from referral to admission.

Do you accept emergency placements?

Yes, we can accommodate emergency placements when appropriate. While we maintain our thorough assessment process, we can expedite timelines for urgent situations. Contact us immediately if you have an emergency placement need.

Care & Support

Understanding our approach to care

What is trauma-informed care?

Trauma-informed care recognizes the impact of adverse childhood experiences and creates environments that promote safety, trust, and healing. Our staff are trained to understand trauma responses, use therapeutic approaches, and provide consistent, predictable care that helps young people feel safe and supported.

How do you support education?

We work closely with schools, colleges, and education providers to ensure young people receive appropriate education. This includes attending PEP meetings, supporting homework, advocating for appropriate provisions, and working with designated teachers. We support mainstream, special school, and alternative education placements.

Can young people maintain family contact?

Yes, we facilitate family contact in accordance with care plans and court orders. Contact can include visits, phone calls, video calls, and letters. We provide support before, during, and after contact to help young people process their experiences. All contact is risk-assessed to ensure safety.

What therapeutic support is available?

Our care is inherently therapeutic, with trained staff providing relationship-based support daily. We also work with external therapists including CAMHS, providing life story work, and using evidence-based interventions. Each young person's therapeutic needs are assessed and met through their individual care plan.

What training qualifications do you offer?

In partnership with Crownlinks Academy, we offer Level 3 Diplomas in Residential Childcare, Level 5 Leadership and Management qualifications, Level 7 Advanced Practice, and specialized training in trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and behavior management.
